The original assault shield "Vant-VM" is designed for assault operations by special forces soldiers. Thanks to its convenient suspension system, it ensures sufficient mobility of the soldier. The armour structure of the shield provides highly effective protection against various types of ammunition. These include bullets with heat-strengthened core of AKM and AK-74 automatic rifles, bullets of SVD rifle and bullets of M16A1 and A2 rifles at a distance of 5 meters with low probability of ricochet. The sighting hole of the armour-panel is protected by armour-glass of the 5th class of protection. The lower apron provides protection from bullets of TT, PSM and APS pistols.
