Set of two Russian/Soviet Ratnik Mag Pouches for AK mags. Surplus in good condition.

 The right pouch is designed to accommodate two magazines for the AK74 (AKM) assault rifle, one ROP (reactive illumination cartridge) and a knife (bayonet-knife). It is available in two versions: with a pocket for the ROP on the left or right side of the pouch. To prevent the ingress of dirt, sand and other things, the pouch has a volumetric valve. The pouch valve is closed using a turnstile button, duplicated with a textile contact fastener. To facilitate opening, especially in winter conditions, the valve is equipped with a strap grip. The flap of the ROP pocket is closed with a textile fastener. To eliminate the possibility of magazines colliding with each other, the pouch is equipped with a removable partition with a damper. With the partition removed, it is possible to place twin magazines. The volume of the signal pocket can be adjusted using an elastic cord and a spring lock. The pouch can accommodate 20-round magazines for a 9 mm AS special assault rifle (VSS special sniper rifle). To do this, it is recommended to remove the partition and place the cartridges in a pack at the bottom of the pouch. On the back side of the pouch there is a flat pocket for placing a bayonet-knife for an AK74 (AKM) assault rifle or other knives of similar dimensions.
